When a person sustains a workplace injury or illness, it is important for the employer and the injured worker to try to minimize the impacts by focusing on getting the worker back to safe and productive work.
Returning to daily work and life activities can actually help an injured worker's recovery and reduce the probability of long-term disability. Research shows that the longer an employee is off work due to injury or illness, the less likely they will return to work.
CCOHS has developed a 1-hour e-course that provides managers, supervisors and human resources professionals with a practical overview of Return to Work strategies, solutions and program implementation, to help support the safe and timely return to work of your injured workers.
Learners can ask a CCOHS instructor specific questions on the topics covered in the course. The e-course has quizzes throughout and an exam to measure learning. Learners are issued a certificate of completion after they pass the exam.
Courses can be purchased for one user or, if five or more people are to be trained, a multi-user discount can save money.
Pricing and registration information is available on the CCOHS website.
