Scope

This guide provides basic information for recognizing mould, cleaning it up and preventing its growth.

This guide is written in plain, non-technical language.Extensive technical details of different types of mould and their biological mechanisms are beyond the scope of this guide. For a detailed technical evaluation of mould exposure and implementation of control measures, an occupational hygienist or other qualified professional with appropriate expertise should be consulted. Target Audience

This guide is for workers, their supervisors, health and safety committee members, health and safety representatives, occupational health and safety professionals and others with an interest in recognition, evaluation and control of mould in the workplace. This guide will serve as handout in training sessions and safety meetings.
