Product Description

Dwayne Van Eerd from the IWH will present the results of a recently completed systematic review entitled 'Participatory Ergonomic Interventions: Process and Implementation.' This review examines how PE interventions are conducted (process and implementation). The findings include details about important implementation issues as well as the facilitators and barriers that are reported in the literature. A previous review found some evidence for effectiveness of PE intervention while this adds important information about how to conduct PE interventions.

Dwayne Van Eerd has both an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and an M.Sc. in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. Involved in clinical work since 1990, Mr. Van Eerd has designed and implemented rehabilitation and ergonomic programs for injured workers. Since 1997, Mr. Van Eerd has been a researcher with the Institute for Work & Health. The focus of Mr. Van Eerd's research has been on the classification and prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Recently Mr. Van Eerd has led or participated in a number of systematic reviews of the scientific literature addressing prevention of musculoskeletal disorders.

This webinar was presented on May 6, 2008, as part of North American Occupational Safety and Health Week 2008.
